GIVING BACK

At Hubert Krah Designs, LLC, we believe in Giving Back to our local community. Here are a few of the organizations and events for which we have volunteered.

Pro PortsmouthPro Portsmouth is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the vitality of Portsmouth's arts, culture, and history through events and community collaboration.

  1. Market Square DayMarket Square Day was created to celebrate the renovation and beautification of Downtown Portsmouth and, in particular, Market Square. The Festival has grown in size along with the growth and popularity of Portsmouth. It is estimated that approximately 60,000 people walk through Downtown Portsmouth on that one day enjoying the entertainment, products and food offered by artists, crafters, and merchants—many from the Seacoast area.

  2. First Night Portsmouth®First Night® revives the ancient traditions of marking the passage of time in a present-day context. It was created by a group of civic-minded artists in Boston as a meaningful alternative to traditional New Year's Eve revelry. Offered to the city as a finale to its Bicentennial events in 1976, First Night Boston® also began a new tradition, bringing neighboring communities together through a joint celebration. Framed as a family-friendly event, First Night is known as the alcohol-free alternative community celebration on December 31st.

Taste of the Nation hosted by No Kid Hungry®No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. After 25 years of successfully investing in local nonprofits and helping find the best approaches to eradicating poverty and hunger, Share Our Strength launched No Kid Hungry in 2010.As a child hunger organization, ending childhood hunger is their primary focus, though Share Our Strength continues to invest in and develop other campaigns.
